Still catching up on the blog….this is from October too.
Grandpa Suess had to drive to Texas from New Mexico for work … lucky us! He was at our house for less than 24 hours … but we’ll take all we can get!

Back in October Piper & I made a quick weekend visit to Mimi & PopPop’s. Well, I was actually headed to San Antonio for a baby shower that ended up being canceled (right after I got to SA), so we made a weekend of it anyways!! One evening we decided it was time for Piper to learn to swim….err….float lazily in a fancy baby float without a care in the world. I think she enjoyed it … she didn’t say otherwise!!
That was a fun evening! We cannot wait for lots and lots of swim time with Piper.
Sharla brought Abby & Katie over to play. It is so fun to get the three girls together. Needless to say, we all seem to have our hands full when all the grandgirls get together. I guess you could also say that they are all learning to share….toys, grandparents, food and most of all attention! I couldn’t be more thankful for those fun times.
So, I try to keep my posts in order and I have a long line of posts waiting to be finished and posted………but I just thought this video was cute and couldn’t wait.
Back in July, our friends Justin & Kyle Dyer moved to Columbia, MO so that Justin could teach the youth of America at MU. (just call him DR. Dyer) (make sure to say that in a snooty voice in your head)
Kyle flew in for a quick visit and we did all kinds of fun stuff! Thursday night a crew went to dinner at Mandola’s Italian Market. (mmm) Piper stayed up way past her bedtime for the special occasion. She was a champ (in her monkey pj’s) of course.

Coco admiring Piper's awesome cheeks
As we were leaving Mandola’s Kyle got Piper all riled up! We missed most of the comedy … but Nicki captured this last shot on video. Kyle was making Piper pant & scream (the good kind of scream). This was a first for Piper … very funny.
Kyle, we enjoyed spending so much time with you this weekend. To say we miss you would be an understatement! You are special and so is Justin. We really miss Justin’s (the former OU wrestler) girly giggle. But, mostly, we just miss both of your company. You guys are neat friends and we are so glad you are ours. Love you!
Last Saturday morning, a group of San Antonio friends got together out at The Loft Coffee Shop in Spring Branch. What a fun, rainy morning with such a neat group of women! There are rumors of getting together again during Christmas when certain Seattle & California residents are in town.

Carlyle, Allison & Reid. Reid was not so fond of mommy holding Carlisle -- he gave her the fakest cry I have ever heard! Sweet, handsome Reid.

This picture makes me happy! I hope to see it again very soon Court!
Boy! Have we been busy! The Suess family has had many fun adventures in the past couple of months. I have missed quite a few blog opportunities, so I will attempt to squeeze them all into one now! Enjoy!

Piper got to meet her Great Grandma June Kruger at the end of July at Mimi & Pop Pop's house. It was really neat to see my Grandma meet her. My dad kept reminding her that Piper was his baby's baby.

Great Grandma Kruger & Piper

Our friends Julianna & Ryan Hammet stopped by to meet Piper.

Piper wasn't too sure of "Uncle" Hammett. He is pretty silly.

Sharla & Mimi put Abby & Katie in the car and brought them to Austin! We all enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Central Market Cafe.

CM has an awesome patio/playground out back where the kids (ehem, Shar) played after lunch.

Even baby doll got to play.

And of course, we forced Mimi to tend to the babies. Sweet Katie slept as usual.

After CM, we took the girls back to my house and attempted a photo shoot of the babies. Katie & Piper.

like, whoa.

I don't think I've ever had so much fun in all my life.

Photo shoot assistant getting everyone straight.

Katie closing her eyes while trying to think calm thoughts: "PIPER! You are smushing me!!!"

At a farmer's market in downtown San Antonio.

Here is a picture of Piper really enjoying the farmer's market.

The breakfast tacos were wonderful! Right, Abby?

The cousins ... they share so well. (Piper, Katie, Abby)

Mimi makes me hold my own bottle.

She really does love me though.

Enjoying some down time with my dad. He's the best.
What else has been going on with me???

I LOVE bath time!

I even learned how to break out of my swaddle. Now I sleep without it.

I am also learning to sit & read at the same time!

Walking to Starbucks with mom & dad. I fell asleep on the way back. No lattes for me.

I wear myself out on my play mat. Oh yeah, I have also learned to suck my thumb!

Sometimes I get sleepy...

...sometimes I'm not so sure...

...sometimes I even get mad!

...but mostly I am as sweet as can be. (at least, that is what everyone tells me.)
Thanks for reading this looooong post! Hopefully, I’ll (this is Melissa speaking now) do a better job of keeping up with the times from now on!

This is SO much fun!

I am wearing my mom's outfit from when she was a baby. Stylish?

I guess I am getting used to that silver thing with the bright light.
Somebody recently found her voice and boy does she ever love the sound of it! (So do we!) She will sing quietly to us in the car & grocery store … OR she will sing loudly to us at home, in her crib & just about anywhere. She just loves to sing or talk. Here is a small sampling we caught yesterday.
Recently, Piper has started to really enjoy bath time! It is so much fun to watch her kick her legs and splash with her arms. Her newest trick in the bathtub is to suck her thumb, which she turns her head to the side to do. When turning her head to the side, she has discovered the yumminess of bathwater and now tries to drink it. (ick?!?!) Makes a mama proud! She usually doesn’t start this towards the end of the bath … once that point hits I have to keep my hand under her cheek to keep her mouth OUT of the bath water! Then it is bed time! Isn’t she cute?!
